Last week, we celebrated Science Week all around the school.
We worked as scientists to complete STEM challenges and make new discoveries!
Check out what some of our classes have been up to.
Fifth Class attended a webinar entitled ‘May The Force Be With You’ presented by scientists from Kerry Science Festival and learnt about everything from rockets to caterpillars. They made innovative and creative balloon powered cars too.
Second Class were busy exploring their Five Senses. They got to test out their senses through smelling, feeling, tasting and listening to objects while blindfolded.
First Class engaged with and completed STEM building challenges using lots of different materials like Lego and connective straws.
Senior Infants explored the story of ‘The Three Little Pigs’ from a new light. Each group designed and built a house and tested its strength against ‘The Big Bad Wolf’ (aka the hairdryer).
